I was playing the megaman anniversary collection (PS2) at 's house, and of course we started off with the VERY FIRST megaman. The moment we started playing, we thought of two things: either the game was meant to be ridiculously hard, or we just sucked.

It was the game. Megaman 2 was nowhere near as hard as this. He just went crazy and said a bunch of things. Basically, he came up with the plot of this comic. Yes, poor...megman.

Yeh, I never colored a comic before, especially in cel style, so bear with me on this ^^. I was inspired to study off of VGcats and Penny arcade. I have a ton of comics that I would like to do (most were thought of by malechicken), so that will come later.

Thankfully, the anniversary collection allows us to save our progress, put the difficulty at easy, start with 5 lives, and enable a guide. We wouldnt stand a chance on the NES.

Ha! Brilliant ^_^

and it's probably not as easy to play on the newer controllers, as compared with the system it was designed for (I've got the Anniversary Collection for Gamecube, and some of the games are still really difficult)

Don't worry, you don't suck.
Megaman is ridiculously hard. x.x

I'd spend forever getting my ars whopped by all the bosses. -Ahem- Anyways.

Cute comic. I loves it. XD
YAY VG CATS!

You know, I've NEVER played Megaman, but my brother has. And he's really good. in my opinion. Hey. I'm his sister. :3. nice comic btw.

A hilarious testament to the rigors of old-school platform gaming X^D Sometimes I wonder if difficulty was purposely kicked up a few nothces in order to promote more hours of gameplay back then X^P I found Megaman 1 a little annoying in some spots and definitely hard unless you don't know what you're doing, but once you've played it a few times it gets a bit easy. I'd like to mention out of pure randomness that Megaman 1 is the only Megaman game that keeps track of score :^O
:iconchris-supernerd:
O heck yea! The later megaman games are easy though, the bosses are a bit hard, but the levels are easy to complete :)
:iconchris-supernerd:
I was wondering what I would be rewarded if the score was high, it must've been for bragging rights ^^;
:iconchicobo329:
Yeah it was :^P I like score with INCENTIVE. Even early games had that then, like Galaga. The common incentive is an extra life, at LEAST Capcom should've given you extra lives for high scores, but NooooOoOo, they didn't :^P

I think a bunch of old school megaman fans were complaining about the A and B buttons being switched. They will reverse the buttons for megaman X, which will suck for me :/
Oh yeah, after buying the game, I realized I forgot to compare the differences between the GCN and PS2 versions, luckily, the game is still intact on the small disc :faint:
